TOWN OF PINE HILL FALLS MAINE · INCORPORATED 1891

Where to Stay

Pine Hill Falls has just one motel, and it has never once been full.

Twin Pines Motel

The Twin Pines Motel on a fall morning: the pink arrow-shaped sign, the lit VACANCY sign and the green numbered doors

On the road into town, just before the river

A long, L-shaped, single-story building with forest-green numbered doors, planters full of mums and a brand-new doormat outside every room. The pink sign stays lit day and night, and so does the VACANCY sign: there’s always a room available.

Your Host

Peg has run the motel for as long as anyone can remember. By your first night, she’ll be calling you “honey,” and you’ll feel like she’s known you for years.

Room 7

Room 7: a bed with a floral bedspread, a lit lamp, a window on the pines, and a key on a green tag numbered 7 on the pillow

Double bed, floral bedspread, fringed lamp and a view of the pines. This is the room we keep for newcomers. The key is already on the pillow.
